  a friend (someone i respected a great deal / mentor) at my job has shared some information with me.

  define cheating. and those who say they never cheated - you may not have YET ;)
  
  btw: i only ever had sex with my wife and myself. so if cheating only means having sex with someone who is not your partner, i have never cheated. if cheating also includes kissing/touching .... whatever ... who is not your partner, i'm guilty.

  when you used to go in the field service, did you go out to have 2 more hours on your report, or did you really want to save somebody's life by preaching a message of salvation ?

  i also only went out for some hours on the sheet... if i didn't go in service a month, i wrote 2 hours. if i did go, i'd write 4-6 hours ;)

  i once asked the question: how many things may be wrong about it to still call it the truth?
  
  and... what version of the truth(TM)? yesterday's "the truth(TM)" probably is apostasy today... they'd better use versioning numbers on their teachings, so everybody knows if they're up to date.
  
  i've got "generation 4.5.0", did you already upgrade to the latest "the truth(TM)"? oh - that "blood-issue 3.6.8" is quite outdated, you'd better get a patch.

  thought i would share this warning email that is circulating among hundreds of jws.... -----------------------------------------------------------------.

  just wanted to inform you all of a children's movie that is coming out in december, during the christmas season, which is entitled "the golden compass".

  the film stars nicole kidman and is based on the first of a trilogy of books for children called "his dark materials" written by phillip pullman of england .

  because of my background with the witless ones, when my husband died it was hard to believe he was in heaven.

  i could hope there is a heaven for those who die.

  that he is in a better place.

  some things are too sad to accept. that's where the different afterlife stories come to play. we're better off making this life as good as it gets though.

  is there still a "cult mentality" in the exjw community?

  i guess that depends a lot on the type of person. JWs are not all a bunch of brainless zombies either. i mean, not any more than other religionists. there are plenty of JWs who don't fit the super-JW wanted by the gobo and stylized in the conventions.
  
  it also very much depends on the age you entered and left, also if you were "brought up" or converted. everything depends...
